United States Senate
Senate convenes at 3:00 p.m./12:00 noon.
Following prayers & the Pledge of Allegiance, Sen. Wicker will recite Washington's Farewell Address.
Following the recitation, Senators will be permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each.
At 5:30 p.m./2:30 p.m., Majority Leader Thune will begin remarks, and move to proceed to executive session to consider the nomination of Kashyap "Kash" Patel, to be Director of the FBI. There is a roll call vote expected on that motion.
Following the vote, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Howard Lutnick to be Secretary of Commerce.
Additional votes may take place, related to S.Con.Res. 7 (a Budget resolution), or on the confirmation of Kelly Loeffler as Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
The President of the United States
The President is at Mar-a-Lago, and is expected to sign executive orders there at 4:00 p.m./1:00 p.m.
